Assistant Vice President* Asset Finance I London-based

In order to grow our origination team, we are looking for an AVP-level team member to join our team in the London office.


You will work alongside other transactors based in London and at the Group’s headquarters in Frankfurt/Offenbach where you will be involved in all aspects of asset finance. Your main focus will be on Aviation. The position will include:

Quantitative analysis:

  • Supervising and monitoring pricing models to support aviation-related origination
  • Developing bespoke models to assist the aviation team in developing asset strategies
  • Conducting sensitivity analyses to stress key drivers and cash flows

Deal origination and capital raising:

  • Sourcing assets from aviation market players, e.g. airlines, OEMs and lessors
  • Supporting equity and mezzanine capital raising by generating and presenting pitch materials to investors
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with investors, lenders, airlines, trading partners, placement agents, etc.
  • Monitoring industry developments and identifying trends and opportunities
  • Representing the company in aviation industry events

Transaction management:

  • Coordinating responses to RfP processes, drafting and submitting proposals
  • Drafting internal investment committee papers, presenting, and seeking approval
  • Drafting prospectuses, placement memoranda, and other documents
  • Proposing transaction structures and working closely with internal and external tax and legal advisors
  • Negotiating term sheets, LOIs, and transaction documents
  • Producing and providing guidance to junior colleagues to perform in-depth credit analyses, investment proposals, modelling and sensitivity analyses
  • Working to grow the volume of assets under management along with transactors based in London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong and the USA


  • Two to three years’ experience in aviation finance (lessor, lender, airline, appraiser, consultancy, etc)
  • Experience in aircraft pricing and maintenance modelling
  • Aircraft/aviation enthusiast with an existing network in the industry
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a numerate discipline or in an aviation related field from a world-class university
  • Quantitative: strong numerical, analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Detail: demonstrate high level of attention to the minutiae
  • Attitude: self-motivated team player able to familiarize yourself with new topics
